Sussex Airports Taxis has been granted a private hire operator licence by Brighton & Hove City Council, expanding the company’s licensed operating coverage across Sussex.

The licence allows the pre-booked transport company to accept private hire bookings under the Brighton & Hove licensing authority. Sussex Airports Taxis also holds operator licences covering Lewes and Mid Sussex.

Expanded licensed coverage across Sussex

The approval strengthens the company’s ability to serve passengers travelling from Brighton, Hove and surrounding areas to major UK airports, including Gatwick, Heathrow, London City, Luton, Stansted and Southampton.

Sussex Airports Taxis provides pre-booked airport transfers, flight monitoring and meet-and-greet services using locally licensed drivers. Customers can book journeys online in advance, with fixed prices confirmed at the time of booking.

The company operates 24 hours a day by advance booking and serves communities across Brighton & Hove, Lewes, Mid Sussex and the wider Sussex area.

What the licence means for passengers

Private hire operators must be licensed by a local authority and meet its requirements before accepting bookings. The new Brighton & Hove licence gives local passengers an additional licensed option when arranging airport journeys and other pre-booked travel.

More information about services and online booking is available through the company’s official website.
