This Brighton Centre guide brings together the checks worth making before a show on Kings Road: the ticket you need, access arrangements, what you carry and how you will leave. It is a sourced planning guide, not a first-hand review or a promise about the experience of a particular performance.
Brighton Centre guide: choose the ticket before the journey
The venue’s booking page identifies Ticketmaster as its official partner. Start from the Brighton Centre listings and follow the event’s “Buy Tickets” link. This gives you a clear route from the named venue to the advertised show, rather than relying on an unfamiliar search advert.
Mobile tickets are the main delivery method. The venue says their moving barcodes cannot be replaced with screenshots. Other formats include PDF tickets and hard copies, so follow the instructions attached to your actual order. Check access to the correct account before leaving, rather than discovering a password problem at the entrance.
Sort out access before buying a spare full-price seat
For accessible bookings, the published Access Line is 01273 292695, Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, with possible changes for on-sale times. The venue says companion tickets are available through Ticketmaster online, rather than other agents; a booking made through the wrong channel may not be refundable or changeable.
The access hub offers the Access Statement in PDF, Word and Easy Read formats, plus a map and an overview of seated and standing areas. It covers arrival, movement through the building and facilities. Staff recognise the Sunflower Lanyard scheme.
Use that material to make a specific request: the route you need, whether standing in a queue is difficult, and what sort of position works for you. “Accessible” is a starting point for that conversation, rather than a description that tells every visitor everything they need. If an answer determines whether the trip is possible, get it before committing to travel.
Pack for the venue, not a whole day away
The visitor page limits small bags to 21 × 30 × 19cm. Larger items may be refused. The £3 storage charge applies only if a large bag is accepted; it is not a guaranteed cloakroom reservation.
Food and drink, including reusable bottles, are restricted. If you need items for medical reasons, tell security so the Duty Manager can discuss this privately. Plan the rest of your day around the bag rule, particularly if you are arriving with work equipment or luggage.
Check the doors and the way home separately
The address is Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 2GR. There is no venue car park. The centre recommends arranging pickups a short walk away because nearby roads can be congested after shows.
The Event Box Office opens two and a half hours before doors for ticket help and collections. The building is not generally open to the public on non-event days. Check your particular event page for doors and running times: a usual evening pattern is not a guarantee for a matinee or family performance.
For a dated example, our Steve Backshall report should be used only after matching it to the performance on your booking. Different shows need different arrival plans.
Brighton Locals’ view
The best preparation happens before checkout and before packing. Resolve the access question first, confirm how admission works, then make a realistic arrival and return plan. That order is more useful than reaching the seafront early with the wrong ticket or an oversized bag.
