The Steve Backshall Brighton show comes to the Brighton Centre on Thursday 29 October, with doors at 1pm and the performance beginning at 2pm. For families planning the half-term outing, the other important clarification is that Deadly Live! contains no live animals.

Steve Backshall Brighton show: which time should you use?

The venue’s event page separates the doors time from the performance. It lists a 45-minute first act, a 20-minute interval and a second act from 3.05pm. Allow for that distinction when arranging lunch, transport or a collection afterwards; the running order may change.

Ticketmaster’s linked event listing displays 13:00. That matches the doors time, not a contradiction of the venue’s 14:00 show start. Check both the booking confirmation and the venue notice again before travelling.

What kind of wildlife show is it?

The official tour site confirms the Brighton stop and explicitly describes the illustrated creatures as models, not live animals. This is stage entertainment based on the Deadly franchise, rather than a wildlife-handling session.

Brighton and Hove News published its own interview-led preview on 15 October. We have checked the practical details against the venue and organiser; we have not attended or reviewed this performance.

Booking and access: what remains to check

Use the booking link on the venue’s page. Our accessible source view did not show a dependable live ticket price or remaining seat count, so we are not quoting either. Check the final total, any fees and the seating location before paying; an older availability badge is not a guarantee.

The venue’s access page links its access statement, seating overview and companion-booking arrangements. Ask about the specific seat and assistance you need before purchasing rather than assuming every section has the same access.

For arrival, the Brighton Centre’s visiting information says it has no venue car park and advises agreeing a collection point a short walk away because nearby roads can become congested. That is general venue advice, not a forecast of a closure on 29 October.

Brighton Locals’ view

The useful promise here is a clearly timed afternoon performance, not an animal encounter. Families deserve to know that distinction before committing to several tickets. The missing verified live price also means we cannot judge it as a low-cost outing merely because it is marketed for half-term.

What happens next

The performance is still ahead. Recheck the running order and your booking before the day. For a different kind of family outing, our Brighton Toy and Model Museum guide covers separate admission and access considerations.

Bottom line: plan around the performance time, not just the time printed at the top of a ticket listing.
