The Brighton Manchester City ticket exchange is open for Albion’s two away matches at the Etihad at the end of October, the club confirmed on 20 October 2026. Supporters who bought tickets and can no longer attend can list them through the official resale system.

How the Brighton Manchester City ticket exchange works

Albion’s announcement says listed tickets are made available to buyers once the relevant match has sold out. Listing is therefore not a guarantee of a sale. An unsold ticket remains active, so supporters should check the outcome before treating their booking as transferred.

Tickets will be sent to supporters after resale closes. Loyalty points associated with a successful resale move to the new owner, based on actual attendance. The club’s official ticket portal is the appropriate place to manage a booking and check current availability.

Why it matters for travelling supporters

Two fixtures at the same ground can be easy to confuse when making plans. Put the competition as well as the date on a calendar reminder. Someone unable to make the Wednesday cup tie should check that they are listing that booking, rather than the Saturday league match.

The fee also matters when deciding what a successful resale would mean. For illustration, a 10% fee on a £30 ticket would be £3. That is a calculation, not a quoted fare or confirmation that £30 tickets are available.

What you should do

  • Check the fixture on your original booking.
  • Use the official account and exchange before that match’s deadline.
  • Review whether the ticket sold and retain the confirmation.
  • Do not assume an adult-only resale retains a child concession.

Our earlier away-exchange coverage concerns different fixtures; today’s Manchester City deadlines should be checked against the new club notice.

Brighton Locals’ view

The official exchange is a useful practical response for fans whose plans change. Its limits deserve equal prominence: a listing is conditional on demand, and the fee affects the amount returned. Clear booking checks are more useful here than claims that every unwanted ticket will find a buyer.

What happens next

The two closing dates are the next milestones. Check the club’s notice for any revised arrangements and the ticket account for the result of an individual listing.
