Last updated: 22 October 2026, 09:30 BST. Update: the official booking page lists this session as sold out and offers a waiting list.

Chomp Brighton’s free family workshop and vegetarian lunch at Fabrica on Monday 26 October is currently sold out. Families interested in attending can use the organiser’s waiting-list option rather than arriving without a confirmed place.

Chomp Brighton: the current booking position

The official Fabrica Ticket Tailor page displays the sold-out status and a “Join waiting list” option. Joining that list is not a confirmed reservation. Check any subsequent message from the organiser before making a journey specifically for the workshop.

The session is aimed at children receiving free school meals and families experiencing financial difficulties during the holidays. Artist Helen Goodwin and volunteers are due to lead creative activities before a shared vegetarian lunch, according to Fabrica’s event information.

Why the distinction matters locally

A free listing can be useful for planning a school-holiday day, but the price and the availability answer different questions. A family still needs a place, the right attendance arrangements and a journey that works. The sold-out message should therefore be at the top of the information, not hidden behind an encouraging description of the activities.

What families should do

Open the official booking page and use its waiting-list option if it suits your household. For attendance, accompanying-adult, dietary or access questions, contact Fabrica on 01273 778646. Its access page describes ramped access at Duke Street, accessible toilets, flexible seating and some slightly uneven flooring.

The Chomp organiser’s website also links to its wider sessions and booking information. Different venues have separate dates and availability; this report does not imply that another session has spaces.

Brighton Locals’ view

A shared activity and meal is a practical form of holiday support. For readers, though, a reliable availability warning is as important as the offer itself. The waiting list is a possible next step, not a promise of admission.

What happens next

The session is scheduled for 26 October. Monitor your own waiting-list response if you join it. Families travelling through Hove during half-term should also check our Hove Station bus diversion guide.

Use the waiting list first; do not make a special trip without a confirmed place.
