Six people have been jailed after a Sussex-led investigation dismantled a nationwide organised drug supply network that police estimate handled more than £56 million of illicit drugs.
Sussex Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit worked with the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit on the investigation. Police said the group had connections across Sussex, London, Manchester, Bolton and Ramsgate and operated during 2024 and 2025.
Scale of the investigation
According to the joint police announcement, investigators estimated that the network distributed more than 1.6 tonnes of cocaine, alongside 159kg of cannabis, 61kg of heroin and 58kg of ketamine. The stated £56 million figure is the estimated wholesale value.
Warrants were carried out at addresses including Bexhill, Hastings, Eastbourne, Ramsgate and London. Officers reported seizing more than £212,000 in cash, drugs, equipment, imitation firearms, ammunition and other weapons.
Sentences confirmed
Five members of the group were sentenced at Lewes Crown Court in February 2026 after guilty pleas. Their prison terms ranged from four years and two months to 16 years and six months.
A sixth man, from Ramsgate, was found guilty by a jury of conspiracy to supply cocaine and received an 11-year sentence at Lewes Crown Court on 7 September. Police said his role involved storing, supplying and repackaging more than 75kg of drugs.
The conclusion of the final proceedings allowed Sussex Police and SEROCU to publish the full outcome on Thursday 24 September.
