PM Collection HGV Driver Supervisor – Brighton

Brighton & Hove City Council is recruiting a PM Collection HGV Driver Supervisor for its waste-collection team at Hollingdean Depot. The role starts at 13:15 and combines HGV driving with responsibility for a small operational crew.

• Pay: £32,061–£33,699 basic; £37,260–£39,163 including four contracted overtime hours a week, plus a £1,850 market supplement

What the role involves

The post holder drives waste-collection vehicles, leads operatives, completes daily vehicle inspections and helps deliver refuse and recycling collections safely. It includes supervising the crew and ensuring health and safety rules and council procedures are followed.

Applicants must hold an HGV Category C driving licence, a valid Driver CPC card and a tachograph card. Supervisory or relevant operational experience is also required.
