The Brighton Tuesday weather forecast for 27 October 2026 shows a sharp difference between the start and the middle of the day. The Met Office’s Sunday evening outlook has gusts reaching 47mph around 5am, rain during the morning journey and a brighter afternoon.

At a glance

  • The peak forecast gust is 47mph at 5am on Tuesday.
  • The rain probability rises to at least 95% at 8am.
  • Sunny conditions are shown from late morning, with a daytime temperature around 15°C.
  • These are forecast values checked on 25 October, not observations or a new warning.

Brighton Tuesday weather: the timing that matters

The Met Office’s Brighton hourly forecast shows gusts easing to 36mph at 8am and 32mph at 9am. The wettest part of the displayed morning sequence includes heavy-rain symbols at 7am and 8am. The rain probability falls to 20% at 11am and 10% at noon.

That explains why the daily sunny symbol needs a closer look. It describes a day that is expected to improve, while people leaving early may encounter a very different combination of wind and rain. Later plans should still account for wind: the table has gusts around 34mph at lunchtime.

What residents should do

If you travel early, check the hourly forecast again on Monday evening and before leaving on Tuesday. Use the operator’s live information for your actual bus or train; this forecast does not confirm any cancellation. Allow flexibility for exposed walking or cycling sections of your journey rather than assuming the afternoon outlook applies at breakfast time.

For an optional half-term outing, the current evidence favours considering the later part of the day, subject to the next forecast. Anyone visiting a coastal attraction should check that venue’s operating information as well. Wind-sensitive activities can have their own restrictions.

Brighton Locals’ view

The useful message is about timing, not a dramatic all-day label. A wet, gusty morning can disrupt an otherwise brighter day. Plan around the hours you will actually be outside and allow the forecast to change as Tuesday approaches.

What happens next

Recheck the official warning map separately from the location forecast. A forecast gust is not itself a weather warning. Our guide to sustained wind and gusts explains the distinction between the two wind measures.
