CairoVan

CairoVan is a Brighton-based mobile food business serving contemporary Egyptian street food across Brighton, Hove and Sussex.

Founded by Brightonian–Cairene traditional cook Monem Mansour, CairoVan combines Egyptian family recipes with British produce, including ingredients sourced from independent Sussex farms and suppliers.

Egyptian street food

The changing menu includes Egyptian taameyya made with fava beans and fresh herbs, slow-roasted lamb from the family farm in East Sussex, chicken shawarma, wraps, salad boxes and meze-style dishes. Availability varies between public pitches, festivals and private events.

Events and private hire

The distinctive orange-and-cream vintage van appears at pubs, breweries, vineyards, markets, festivals and community events. CairoVan is also available for weddings, garden parties and private celebrations, with prepaid and pay-as-you-go options. A home dining service is offered for dinner parties and birthdays.
